Stages of Formation and membership “The Postulancy”
Postulancy is a time of probation and introductory period, prior to entry into the novitiate. The postulant comes to know the institute better by participating in its life and apostolate. This time helps to clarify the postulant and the Society whether the entry into appropriate. There are opportunities provided to develop and supplement important qualities for entering the Society: human and Christian maturity, the ability for relationship; and the readiness for renunciation as determined by the nature and purpose of society. (Cf. CC 102-103)
